While in Chicago, I happened upon the Beam toothbrush, a Bluetooth-enabled toothbrush that connects to an Android app. It has a timer to increase the typical person’s average brushing time from 46 seconds to two minutes. It wirelessly tracks and stores your brushing history and it can even play music while brushing to encourage brushing for a full two minutes.

It seems the Beam toothbrush is making a bit of a splash in the tech community. It has been featured on Mashable, Gizmodo, MedGaget and cnet. Time will tell if this will make an impact on our oral hygiene but for the geeks among us, it is kind of cool!
