Spear has released a new pathway designed to help doctors improve their practice's online reviews.

improving online dental practice reviews

This pathway supplements a study Spear conducted in an effort to understand determining factors behind hundreds of dental practice's Yelp and Google reviews. The goal of this study was to help dentists create healthier patient relationships and a stronger practice by increasing awareness of the determinants of patient satisfaction.

In "Improving Online Reviews For the Dental Practice," Adam McWethy and Marcus Piazzisi explain the essential behaviors a practice should institute in order to influence patient sentiment. Dentists will learn how to enhance their practice's online image by understanding and embracing the power of Google, Yelp and map-based searches.

In this pathway, viewers will learn:

  • The impact Google, Yelp, map-based search and mobile devices have on a practice’s growth.
  • What actions a practice can take to affect online reviews.
  • How to best manage your online presence.
  • How online review sites fit into your overall marketing strategy.

Viewed both lessons and was not impressed. Mostly basic common sense stuff on treating people right. Also the Yelp series did not have much how to included. Sort of a pitch to hire a professional..... aka man on the screen. Just my $.02
