Spear has released two clinical team meeting courses on occlusion.

In “What is Occlusion?” viewers will learn what occlusion is and the three major components that contribute to an ideal occlusion. They will also learn how effective using mounted models can be to help design a better occlusion for your patients.

After viewing this lesson, viewers will:

  • Understand why they should care about proper occlusion
  • Understand what variables affect occlusion

In the second course, “Occlusal Appliances for the Dental Team,” teams will learn what occlusal appliances are, the purpose they serve, and how they affect the chewing system. They will also learn the value in occlusal appliances and how they can be supported in the practice.

After viewing this lesson, viewers will:

  • Know what an occlusal appliance is
  • Understand how teeth, joints and muscles are affected by occlusal appliances
  • Understand the value in occlusal appliances and the importance of expressing their value to patients
