Spear Welcomes Vishal Sharma, DDS, to Leadership Role

Dr. Sharma brings 20+ years of dental and leadership expertise to Spear as Director of Clinical Education and Operations

Spear Education today announced that Dr. Vishal Sharma has joined its leadership team as Director of Clinical Education and Operations. Sharma brings more than 20 years of clinical, operational, and educational expertise to the organization.

Dr. Sharma will support Spear’s curriculum initiatives, collaborate with faculty, and continue to teach for CDOCS. In his new role, he will draw on his extensive background as a practicing dentist, international speaker, and former director of clinical operations for Dentalcorp, where he oversaw 600 Canadian dental offices.

“High-quality, comprehensive dental workshops and seminars, many delivered at Spear, have profoundly shaped my 20+ year dental career,” said Dr. Sharma. “These experiences showed me how well-designed education can significantly elevate a clinician’s patient care and practice culture. When the opportunity arose to support these programs at Spear, I didn’t hesitate, as this role allows me to give back and help other dentists access the same level of education that I’ve benefited from.”

Dr. Sharma is the clinical director of two large dental clinics in downtown Calgary, where he integrates advanced technology to deliver efficient, comfortable, and predictable treatment outcomes. He is also a CDOCS Faculty member and a key opinion leader for Dentsply Sirona and lectures internationally on orthodontic therapy. A 2004 graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Sharma combines deep clinical expertise with a passion for innovation and education.
