New Spear Online Course: Foundations of Orthodontic Diagnosis

Spear Education recently added a new course to Spear Online called Foundations of Orthodontic Diagnosis.

What do orthodontists look for and why? Orthodontic treatment is, at its core, about treatment planning. A strong basis for understanding dental and skeletal diagnoses is required to develop a proper treatment plan for each patient. In this course, Resident Faculty member Dr. Tyler Rathburn explores the foundations of orthodontic diagnosis, as well as how the relative importance of specific diagnostic criteria has changed as orthodontics has evolved.

Learning objectives for this course include:

• Review the changing history of orthodontic diagnosis.
• Understand the concepts of macro, mini, and micro esthetics.
• Learn what orthodontics looks for when making diagnoses.
