Spear Member Stories: Dr. Wesley Mullins and Dr. Jonathan Rogers — Meet the Dental Guys

After a year hiatus, two longtime members of the Spear community are back behind the microphone. Dr. Wesley Mullins and Dr. Jonathan Rogers relaunched their podcast The Dental Guys in January.

Dr. Mullins, a Faculty Club member, and Dr. Rogers, a Spear Workshop Core Curriculum graduate and Spear Online member, take what they’ve learned at Spear and through their own practices and share them with their podcast audience several times a month.

Dr. Mullins, a seasoned general dentist from Powell, Tennessee, has been an integral part of the Spear community since 2016 through his involvement with attending campus workshops and being an active member of Faculty Club.

Dr. Rogers, from Greeneville, Tennessee, embarked on his Spear journey in 2014 and recently successfully completed the Core Workshop Curriculum, an eight-workshop path that equips dentists with the skills to confidently handle complex cases, restore a patient’s bite and effectively diagnose and treat worn dentition.

Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Rogers notes, “When I started at Spear, I lacked the right words to articulate my observations. Now, not only do I see it, but I can engage with fellow dentists who’ve completed the workshop curriculum. We share a common language and rely on each other as sounding boards for optimal patient care.”

These shared experiences and educational journey are a big part of the success of The Dental Guys podcast. During the podcast, the duo delves into specific cases, unraveling the intricacies and sharing the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Their narrative is deeply rooted in the principles and techniques imparted by Spear’s extensive curriculum.
