Spear Education Appoints Jim Milton as Chairman of the Board

Spear Education, a leading provider of advanced dental education, today announced that Jim Milton, currently a member of the company’s board of directors, was appointed Chairman of the Board, effective Jan. 1.

Milton is a renowned leader in the education technology industry. He was recognized as Higher Education Technology Leader of the Year in 2023 by EdTech Digest and Industry Leader of the Year at EdScoop’s inaugural 2022 EdScoop 50 Awards.

Milton brings over 40 years of experience in technology leadership to Spear’s board. He most recently served as chairman and CEO of Anthology, a leading global provider of education software. Prior to Anthology, Milton served as CEO of Campus Management, where he doubled company revenue and facilitated the merger that formed Anthology. His background also includes leading two publicly traded customer experience software companies, SoundBite Communications and Intervoice, both of which achieved significant growth and successful acquisitions.
