Spear Honors Dentists Completing the Core Curriculum

Completing the Spear Core Curriculum marks a pivotal step in a clinician’s continuing education journey. In January, 16 dentists from across the United States completed the nine-workshop pathway, gaining advanced skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative dentistry.

The group concluded the program with Advanced Treatment Planning, the final Spear Workshop in the Core Curriculum sequence, held at Spear Campus in Scottsdale, Arizona. Spear Education recognized the clinicians during a celebratory dinner at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess La Hacienda restaurant.

Designed for general practitioners seeking clinical mastery, the Spear Core Curriculum challenges clinicians to think differently about diagnosis, occlusion, and interdisciplinary care and to apply those principles consistently in daily practice.

What the Spear Core Curriculum includes

The Core Curriculum consists of nine immersive Spear Workshops, completed in sequence at Spear Campus. Together, they provide 204.5 continuing education credits and focus on essential clinical skills, including:

  • Comprehensive treatment planning and case presentation
  • Tooth preparation techniques
  • Occlusal principles
  • Direct and indirect restorations
  • Airway prosthodontics and interdisciplinary care

Each three-day workshop builds on the previous one, reinforcing foundational concepts while helping clinicians achieve more predictable clinical outcomes, stronger patient trust, and long-term practice growth.

The Core Curriculum begins with Treatment Planning With Confidence, which establishes the diagnostic framework and communication skills that guide the rest of the pathway.

Clinicians interested in advancing their continuing education and transforming how they diagnose, plan, and deliver care can explore upcoming Spear Core Curriculum workshops and join the next group of Spear-trained dental professionals.
