I just spent eight days in remote Alaska. No access to any electronic communication devices except a satellite phone in case of a bear eating my leg. It was a week of recharging and reflection, fun and almost enough fishing. (Is there ever enough?) I took too many bad pictures and a few good ones, saw some of the most fantastic country I have ever experienced and rested my brain from dentistry. I was worried that I couldn't leave it behind, but as soon as the floatplane landed and I saw the majesty of this remote place, my dental head went to sleep. I don't have anything profound to say in this blog, except that I was reminded how important play is to a healthy life. I am rested and refreshed, inspired and happy. I hope you will like these pictures of one of the best trips of my life.

The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing. ~Babylonian Proverb Looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming meeting in Houston. Mark
