[FRANK SPEAR] Hi, I'm Frank Spear. I want to thank you for your interest in Spear Faculty Club and share a little history about how it was conceived. It really goes back to, believe it or not, the mid-1980s. I attend an American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry meeting in Sun Valley, Idaho. I was young, just a few years out of school. The group was small and the organization only had about a hundred members of the time. For the first time in my career, I experienced what it was like to be among a group of dentists who were really driving to be the best they could be. It was so energizing and I consider myself so fortunate to have had that exposure to such a meaningful small group dynamic so early in my career. Since then, I've always looked forward to the small meetings with peers who shared my energy and drive towards great dentistry. It was finding that group of kindred spirits who shared a vision and desire to really improve clinically and learn how to improve the lives of patients. By 2008, when we launched Spear and established the Spear campus in Scottsdale, I realized there was more opportunity to cultivate that small group dynamic than I could ever have done at my operation in Seattle. What I really wanted to do is create a community so that other dentists could experience what I had earlier in my career. That community evolved into what we now call Faculty Club. It’s really designed for dentists who are deeply committed to learning, improving, growing, and continuously striving to be the best they can be. Spear supports Faculty Club members on that journey through an annual meeting that brings everyone together, through a microsite that encourages interaction with The Faculty Club network and of course, through the depth of resources available through Spear’s innovative learning ecosystem. But the bottom line is, Faculty Club is all about becoming part of a community, it’s about staying directly connected with like-minded peers. I hope as you explore Faculty Club, that you will understand the impact that this type of group has had on me personally. This type of learning dynamic was essential to my professional and clinical growth and I'm confident you will discover the same benefit for yourself. Thank you.
