Just like you wouldn’t build a house on a questionable foundation, restorative dentistry shouldn’t be performed on a tooth that has a poor endodontic prognosis. That’s why an endodontic prognosis assessment is critical for a successful restorative outcome. Whether it’s an endodontic diagnostic issue, surgical or nonsurgical endodontic treatment, or endodontic re-treatment, establishing the potential success of the case is imperative. In this module, Dr. Berman discusses common sense and methodical approaches for assessing the endodontic prognosis for several different endodontic case-based scenarios.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to assess teeth that are endodontically compromised and determine the potential prognosis.
  • Consider the treatment plan for managing various types of compromised teeth.
  • Learn how to better assess teeth with resorption, root fractures and restorative issues with an interdisciplinary approach.
