Dr. Pettyjohn is an instructor in Spear’s Implant Restorative Dentistry workshop. She maintains a private practice in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, that focuses on sleep disordered breathing, implants, and complex fixed and removable restorations.

Dr. Pettyjohn is passionate about optimal dental and systemic health and works with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team both in dentistry and medicine. She has been involved with Spear since 2005, served as Visiting Faculty and developed content for Spear Study Club. She lectures on surgical guides, real-time implant navigation systems, clinical appointment sequencing and coding. She also lectures on how to practice ideal dentistry within an insurance-based practice model, the Straumann implant system and the X-Guide real-time navigation implant placement system.

Additionally, Dr. Pettyjohn enjoys close relationships with talented laboratory technicians and innovating new designs for tissue shaping in implant dentistry and full arch custom telescopic implant overdentures. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association and Metro Denver Dental Society. She is also an active member of the Colorado chapter of the International Team for Implantology, Colorado Academy of Osseointegration and South Littleton Spear Study Club.

Dr. Pettyjohn earned her D.D.S. at the University of Iowa following her studies in microbiology at Colorado State University. She credits Spear with inspiring her to become the best professional version of herself and hopes she can help inspire others to do the same. She is known for her authentic enthusiasm and genuine desire to help others in their pursuit of Great Dentistry. Her primary goal is for more patients to receive optimal care.
