Ms. Marks brings more than 30 years’ experience in clinical dental hygiene and teaching to her lectures as a member of Spear Resident Faculty. She currently serves as a practice management consultant and periodontal clinical educator for Marnee Management LLC, a consulting company she founded in 2010. She previously served as a practice consultant, lecturer and consultant educator for Mercer Advisors. She co-authored the “Building the Ideal Practice” continuum and presented on the topic at the Spear Campus with Imtiaz Manji and Dr. Gordon Christensen.
Over the years, Ms. Marks has developed curriculum, authored journal articles and conducted seminars at dental schools, dental hygiene programs, major dental meetings, study clubs and faculty in-service programs. Her professional background also includes serving as a faculty member, advisor and alumni director at several campuses in the Pennsylvania State University system. She administered the annual Statewide Allied Health Occupations Education Conference and the Nurse Aide Teaching the Educator program for the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Ms. Marks maintains her hygiene profession through private clinical practice. She also serves as a consultant on training needs assessment and curriculum development. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Penn State and a dental hygiene degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
