Are you offering your patients an opportunity to choose dentistry? During the exam this patient heard about the BIG BLACK FILLINGS in every back tooth. When the assistant gave him the picture and a Sharpie to circle anything he wanted to talk to the doctor about before leaving; it was those fillings.
Not enough time in your schedule to take the picture(s)? Train a team member to get the six pictures that will change your practice on every new (and every not new) patient. Too ambitious for you right now? Pick one patient a day in hygiene and have the assistant take the six pictures on that ONE patient.
Track what happens and try to get them on TWO patients one day next week. After that I won’t need to coax you.
