My Very First Blog Post: Building Airplanes While They Are Flying!

1 year ago by | 0 Comments

After I spoke on social media at our Faculty Club event this June, I had many requests to begin contributing to the Spear Education blog. The time has finally come that I deliver on the request. Welcome to my first blog post!

My name is Kaleim Manji and I am the President of Spear Education and Founder of Young and Motivated. I really look forward to sharing some of my thoughts with you and hopefully providing some entertaining reading between patients or at home while you take your daily blogging break.

Please take a minute to watch the video below.

Building a dental practice is like building an airplane while it’s flying. You are expected to serve your patients on a day-to-day basis and create growth at the same time. Growth can come from bringing in an associate, improving your clinical skills, remodeling, investing in new technology, etc.

The tricky thing about growth is that it happens on a parallel path to operating the day-to-day business of your practice – you are building an airplane while you are flying an airplane! You may have signed up for a science, but you got entrepreneurship. I could never get bored with dentistry. What a wonderful profession!
