Dr. Ratcliff is the executive vice president of research and development at Spear Education where he helps specialists and their restorative colleagues embrace the gifts and challenges of interdisciplinary care, and where he is a member of the faculty practice. His primary responsibilities are overseeing content development and innovations for study clubs and our digital suite.
Dr. Ratcliff has practiced general dentistry for 35 years, for the last 23 years has focused his work on comprehensive adult restorative care and he has become regarded as one of the premier clinicians in the United States. Dr. Ratcliff lectures internationally on interdisciplinary care, esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry, and optimizing the patient experience.
The former chairman of education at The Pankey Institute, Dr. Ratcliff is passionate about helping dentists reach their preferred futures, and is an engaging and down-to-earth speaker. He presents and facilitates small groups with a combination of excellent clinical examples, interactive discussion and well-organized concepts.
Dr. Ratcliff is a member of the Arizona State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a fellow of The International Team for Implantology, the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. Ratcliff earned his D.D.S. from Case Western Reserve University in 1978 and an M.S. degree in adult education at the University of Wyoming in 1974.
