Spear Workshops

Spear workshops are intensive three-day educational experiences that combine comprehensive classroom education with practical hands-on application. Clinical skills, taught by our highly regarded faculty, are learned and applied for a thorough understanding of the subjects and techniques. You will provide exceptional restorative dentistry with confidence and increase the level of care you provide your patients.

Based on the Spear Learning Continuum, Spear workshops are organized into three levels — Foundation, Level I and Level II.

Foundation

  • Facially Generated Treatment Planning

    Facially Generated Treatment Planning

This course will completely change your understanding of the relationships between esthetics and occlusion, while providing you with a step-by-step system of planning that can be used on any patient.

  • Occlusion in Clinical Practice

    Occlusion in Clinical Practice

If you have the desire to practice with greater confidence, know what you are doing, and feel comfortable about occlusion - whether it is diagnosing and treating pain or doing a complex reconstruction, this course will help you understand the science behind the most overlooked reason that dentistry fails.

Level I

  • Restorative Design

    Restorative Design

See the immediate impact of this course when you return to your practice. Dr. Bob Winter's simple, effective system for full and partial coverage preparations will streamline chair time for superior preparations with less effort, allowing for exquisitely fitting restorations.

  • Anterior Restorative Dentistry

    Anterior Restorative Dentistry

This course applies the principles taught in Facially Generated Treatment Planning and the preparation techniques taught in Restorative Design, to teach you how to straighten malaligned teeth, close diastemas and open gingival embrasures.

  • Worn Dentition

    Worn Dentition

Enjoy increased predictability and longevity in your dentistry by basing occlusal design decisions on how the patient created the wear. This workshop focuses on observation, diagnosis, etiology and appropriate treatment for wear patients.

Level II

  • Mastery and Master's Forum

    Mastery and Master's Forum

If you ever wished that the final afternoon of Facially Generated Treatment Planning could have continued, this is the course for you.

  • Excellence in Composite Restorations

    Excellence in Composite Restorations

Bolster your clinical skills and add new range with this advanced workshop. With the myriad of composite materials available today, creating esthetic "direct" restorations can be easier and more predictable than ever before.
